Dr. Biles grew up in Annapolis, MD. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University before attending medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He subsequently completed his general surgery internship and urologic surgery residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Biles has extensive experience in the medical and surgical management of complex urologic conditions. He is highly skilled in both open and minimally-invasive (endoscopic, laparoscopic, robotic) surgical techniques, including in the latest Da Vinci surgical systems. He has a particular interest in robotic surgery, prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer, and urinary tract reconstruction. He also treats a broad range of general urologic conditions including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and stone disease. His research in genitourinary cancer has resulted in numerous publications and presentations at regional and national conferences.
Dr. Biles has always aspired to return home to provide thoughtful, compassionate and personalized care to his patients and the community. He strives to help patients understand their disease and to prioritize their goals, utilizing cutting edge treatment options, techniques, and technologies to improve his patients’ quality of life. In his free time, he enjoys boating, skiing, cooking, hiking, and spending time with his family.
