Born and raised in Kenya, I moved to the U.S. in 2000 after completing high school, bringing with me a passion for learning and a deep curiosity about healthcare. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University in 2008, right in the heart of Houston, Texas. During my final year of nursing school, I had the incredible opportunity to intern at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where I discovered my passion for oncology—and began my journey as a registered nurse there soon after graduation.
Over the years, I’ve gained a broad range of experience across specialties including Med-Surg, oncology, liver transplant, and Neurotrauma ICU, spanning over 15 years. In 2021, I completed my Master’s degree at the University of Texas and became a nurse practitioner. I’ve been practicing in urology for the past three years and love working closely with patients to create personalized, collaborative care plans that truly work for their lives.
Now based in Maryland to be closer to family, I continue to find joy and meaning in helping others navigate their health journeys.
Outside of work, you can find me playing tennis, exploring museums, traveling, working out, or simply spending quality time with my loved ones.
