Dr. Fei Lian is excited to be a part of Anne Arundel Urology and to provide patient-centered care for all aspects of urology. An East Coast native, he received his BS in Biology with Honors at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and his MD from Emory Medical School in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a Harvard University Clinical Teaching Fellow and completed his surgical internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. He went on to complete his Urology residency training at the Albany Medical Center and the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York. As a researcher, his time at Emory led to a first author publication in the Journal of Urology on the epigenetics of the VHL gene and a patent application on circulating tumor DNA in kidney cancer. While in residency, he was the recipient of multiple research awards. He has published over 25 published papers and abstracts and has presented at local, regional and national conferences. He was the American Urological Association Northeastern Section grant recipient for the 2019 AUA Advocacy Summit in Washington, DC. His current research focuses on the improvement of physician-written materials for patients.
In his free time, Dr. Lian enjoys running, biking, cooking, and exploring all that Maryland has to offer.
