Quitiqua Adon, PA-C

Quitiqua Adon, also known as “Tika,” was born in Washington, DC. She has been practicing medicine with Anne Arundel Urology as a Certified Physician Assistant since 2013. Tika earned her Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Biology and minoring in Spanish, from Frostburg State University (FSU) in Frostburg, Maryland. While at FSU, she developed a passion for languages, sciences, and the Arts. These passions led to her becoming a researcher of medical procedures and medical developments, choreographer and a modern dancer. In addition to exploring scientific advances and dancing, her passion for languages led her to be inducted into the National Spanish Honor Society.

Also, while at FSU, Tika was selected to attend a Health Careers Opportunity Program, also known as HCOP, at West Virginia University (WVU). Here is where she honed her medical skills by studying medicine, shadowing clinicians, and gaining an intimate view of what it is to practice medicine. At HCOP, Tika was introduced to the Physician Assistant career path. With strong curiosity about this relatively low profiled career in medicine, she researched, applied and was accepted into Anne Arundel Community College/St. Francis University Physician Assistant program. She completed the 26-month program and earned a certificate in Physician Assistant studies and a Master’s degree in Medical Science.

In total, Tika has been a practicing Certified Physician Assistant since 2004, and she enjoys taking care of her “V.I.Ps” (Very Important Patients) as she calls them. She loves educating and showing compassion to people in need. She treats every patient as if the patient is her own family member or friend.

DIn her free time, Tika loves being with her family, shopping, dancing, and listening to music. Tika and her husband, Paris, have two children and a loving pet Labradoodle, Bleu.
